Over 80 parishioners of St Paul’s, Frankston and their friends enjoyed “Tea with Jane Austen” on 22 August, taking a musical, literary and culinary journey through the famous author’s life. The Peninsula singers, with pianist William Lowe, provided appropriate music; readings were given from Austen’s novels; scenes from her life were acted out and an elegant high tea put the finishing touch to a highly entertaining afternoon. St Paul’s member Bernard Blestel wrote and produced the event.
